SPUR, Binding methods.
One option for binding the next issue of SPUR
would be a stab bind, made to look as if it were stapled. Below is an example that
exploits the methods utilising different stocks
and formats.

Grid necessities.
Essentially where I went wrong for the first issue of SPUR.
- I want to design a coherent grid system that reflects their
ideologies and how they want to be seen. A flexible grid
that will allow for experimentation and interactivity.

The grid needed to be flexible in two ways. It had to be
able to be applied to landscape and portrait leaves-
one aspect that has been carried over from the first issue.
And the second, to be flexible within itself.

MODUS OPERANDI
The book called «Modus operandi» for BarĂ£o Hutter
Atelier is separated into three different chapters
(requirements, create and a picture part). From a pile
of pictures, they can complement an individual book
for each client.
The Modus operandi is a Latin phrase, approximately
translated as «method of operation». The term is used
to describe someone's habits or manner of working,
their method of operating or functioning.

For now, I am organised.
Below includes:
A project file, including all relevant documents. A cheap
notebook for Am/Pm to do lists. One gridded sketchbook
for idea generation. Two small notebooks: one for research
and notetaking. The other for immediate responses and
idea generation.

Final Major Project
Reflecting on what I learned last year i've decided
to take some more time refining what it is I want to
get out of this year and how i'll be doing it.
Everything needs to be clear. If it's not clear to me
then how can it be clear to anyone else.

Yearbook, Concept
Yearbook concept,
Five: 2013.
The main idea behind the concept for the yearbook is unity. Our
year group specifically is extremely open to a collaborative practice
and believe that sharing is more profitable than not within a studio
environment. A celebration of student congruency.
The use of the roman numeral 'V' rather than the number '5' creates
a symbol. There is an abundance of existing semiotics that come with
the use of roman numerals. This is a symbol that is confident, powerful,

Final Major project: Initial briefs
There are a mixture of the types of briefs that I want to
take on this year. Including extensions of briefs I
took on last year, i.e. Elements, alongside competition
briefs, portfolio briefs and self indulgent projects too.
My initial thoughts were:
- SPUR, quarterly editorial, publishing.
- Elements, expansion of event.
- Cerebral Extension, refining product & concept.
- Competition brief: skills- type & layout.
- Competition brief: skills- concept.
- Competition brief: skills- visual, self indulgent.
- Competition brief: skills- type & layout.
- Competition brief: skills- software.
